Obama tax cuts?

So I heard the other day Obama was planning on extending the Bush tax cuts. If this is true it would be very funny due to the fact that he campaigned agaisnt them, because they "only gave money to the rich and big companies who didn't deserve it." But it is interesting that Obama ran on tax cuts at wealth distribution at the same time. How is this possible? Does he really think he can do it or is he just saying whatever he can to get votes? "Obama has pledged a net tax reduction for 95% of working Americans, and during the campaign, his top economic adviser said the Obama team was exploring ways to lower the maximum corporate tax rate, now at 35%. But don't expect Obama to go on a tax-cutting spree. If nothing else, the ballooning federal deficit is a signal that taxes are going to go up."-forbes

RNC/POLITICS

First of all I would like to ask everyone: have you ever worked for a poor person? I am pretty sure the answer is no. So why do you want your boss to pay almost double what they are paying now. Guess who it will really hurt. you. By the way did you know in the very little time Obama has been in the senate 130 times he could not make up his mind to vote "yes" or "no" he just put present. Like Giuliani said: "for president it is not good enough to be present. and this is no time for on the job training!" Lets not give him to much credit though..the main reason he didn't vote was because they were contreversial issues and this man only wants your votes so he want put anything on record. I guess he forgot this when he voted for infanticide aka late term abortion.Anways... In case anyone missed Palin's speech last night below are some of the main quotes. Also I would like to leave you with a quote from Sen. Joe Liberman(D) who spoke the night before: "Every day, across our country, millions of our fellow citizens are facing huge problems. They are worried about their homes, their jobs, and their businesses; they are worried about the outrageous cost of gas and of health insurance; and they are worried about the threats from our enemies abroad. But when they look to Washington, all too often they do not see their leaders coming together to tackle these problems. Instead they see Democrats and Republicans fighting each other, rather than fighting for the American people. Our founding fathers foresaw the danger of this kind of senseless partisanship. George Washington himself -- in his Farewell Address to our country -- warned that the "spirit of party" is "the worst enemy" of our democracy and "enfeebles" our government's ability to do its job. George Washington was absolutely right. The sad truth is -- today we are living through his worst nightmare, in the capital city that bears his name. And that brings me directly to why I am here tonight. What, after all, is a Democrat like me doing at a Republican convention like this? The answer is simple. I'm here to support John McCain because country matters more than party............My Democratic friends know all about John's record of independence and accomplishment. Maybe that's why some of them are spending so much time and so much money trying to convince voters that John McCain is someone else. I'm here, as a Democrat myself, to tell you: Don't be fooled. God only made one John McCain, and he is his own man. If John McCain was just another go-along partisan politician, he never would have taken on corrupt Republican lobbyists, or big corporations that were cheating the American people, or powerful colleagues in Congress who were wasting taxpayer money. Senator Obama is a gifted and eloquent young man who can do great things for our country in the years ahead. But eloquence is no substitute for a record -- not in these tough times. "Palin's Quotes:-Our opponents say, again and again, that drilling will not solve all of America’s energy problems — as if we all didn’t know that already. But the fact that drilling won’t solve every problem is no excuse to do nothing at all.\-In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers. And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change-I might add that in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening. We tend to prefer candidates who don’t talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.-My fellow citizens, the American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of “personal discovery.” This world of threats and dangers is not just a community, and it doesn’t just need an organizer.(lmao personal fave)-there is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform — not even in the state Senate. (how arrogant is he?)
